Cub Scouts are for youngsters aged 8 to 11 and is the second section of the Scout Group. The Cub programme offers a huge variety of activities surrounding areas of fitness, global and beliefs, while also allowing them to be creative and get involved with their local community. They will be able to extend the skills that they learnt in the Beaver Scout section. They are introduced to more adventurous activities including camps and residential experiences.
The Cub Pack is split into smaller groups called Sixes, which is often headed up by a Sixer and a Seconder. These groups provide a ‘home’ area for Cubs, and will often be the groups which activities are completed in.
When Cubs reach the age of 10 and a half, they will normally move onto Scouts.
